The Swedish-based employer branding consultancy Universum, reveals its research on Swiss most ambitious career-seekers and presents their choice of Ideal Employers. The Swiss Student Survey 2011 is based on  27,000 employer evaluations, reflecting the opinions of 9 165 students, therefrom over 1,400 marketing students.

Swiss students don't prioritize job security

Emerging from turbulent times, American undergraduates voice their concern for job security louder than students in other countries. From nine possible career goals, Universum asked 300,000 university students around the world to select their three most important goals. The need to feel secure or stable in a job is an actual career aspiration for most students. In thirteen out of 25 countries, job security was in their top three choices, whereas Swiss students don’t prioritize it in their range of career objectives.

Universum Awards 2010: Our winners celebrated in Zürich

The Swiss Universum Awards took place on Mai 20th at Die Giesserei in Zürich-Oerlikon.
The evening celebrated the top Ideal Employers of business and engineering, IT and natural science students in Switzerland.

Swiss Students salary expectation

My Future Career is a survey about students career expectations, Universum asked 224’542 students in 16 countries what they expected to earn in their first job after their studies. The results show that Swiss students expect to earn the most (80’403 CHF per year), followed by the Danish (72’111 CHF), Norwegians (64’681 CHF) and Germans (57’133 CHF).

Award Ceremony

For the 6th time, the award ceremony for the best employers in Switzerland, the Universum Top 100, took place.
Based on the results of the Universum Student Survey 2009, students ranked their most attractive employers per country. The answers were conducted from November 2008 until March 2009, so that the global economic crisis was the background for this years survey.

Ranking ceremony and Gala Dinner

Nelly Riggenbach, Country Manager at Universum Communications Switzerland welcomed all guests to the Awards Ceremony at the Gala Dinner. After a short presentation related to Universum and its products and services, Anna Dyhre, the country manager of Universum Communications Sweden, summarised the seminar sessions and presented some key findings. Axel Keulertz, the Universum Research Director of Europe, then took over and presented the rankings of the Universum Student Survey 2009 – the climax of the evening.
