Universum Communications awarded in cooperation with Axpo and T-Systems the “Students of the Year 2009”. Among applications from all over Switzerland, we chose together the “Engineering Student of the Year” for Axpo, and the “Take Off! Student of the Year 2009“ for T-Systems. The award is directed to students who not only achieve the best results in school but also show social competence and engagement.

The winners are:
Take Off! Student of the Year: Miriam Geissmann, University of St. Gallen, Bachelor of Arts in Betriebswirtschaftslehre. She was awarded with a traineeship programme in the area of Products & Innovation at Deutschen Telekom AG in Darmstadt.
Engineering Student of the Year: Philipp Marty, Hochschule Luzern, Master of Science in Engineering. His prize is a 3 to 6months paid internship with participation at the Axpo Energy Academy.

Miriam Geissmann:

Dieser Award bestätigt mich in meiner Motivation, mich weiterhin im und ausserhalb des Studiums zu engagieren. Besonders habe ich es genossen, im Rahmen der Universum Awards mehr über das Thema Employer Branding zu erfahren und dabei festzustellen, dass viele an der Universität gelehrte Themen direkte Anwendung in der Praxis finden. Ich möchte mich herzlich bei der T-Systems Schweiz AG für die tolle Auszeichnung bedanken und freue mich bereits jetzt auf das Praktikum in einer internationalen Geschäftssparte der Deutschen Telekom AG.“
